I was raised as a young girl in the city of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, which happens to be the location of our brand new hair extension studio. Our studio is located in the Avalon Mall (previously a theatre) in the heart of downtown White Bear Lake. I spent my days as a child spending time and hard earned allowances just two stores over at what used to be The Variety Store, which is now a studio for teaching martial arts. I am thrilled to be working in a neighborhood that I know so much about, and that allows for me to experience many nostalgic memories.
After graduating from White Bear Lake High School, I moved to Uptown Minneapolis. I made great friends, experienced new highs, and while my Mom dabbled in salon style hair extensions, I was inspired, and began attempting my own DIY methods at home to add some length to my mane. Mainly, I used glue and wefts, and metal clip-in hair extensions to give a fuller and longer look to my hair.
While the glue was wrecking my natural hair, my mother was creating her own method of attaching hair extensions right in her own home. Not only did she want to save on the cost of her hair extensions, but she wanted a product that would be safe and non-damaging to the hair, and that lasted as long as, or longer than other methods that her or I had tried.
I tested her method, and I was hooked. Strand by strand hair extensions that blended well, looked completely natural, and wouldn't pull my hair out like the glue bond and metal clips I was using? .. Perfect! I spent the next few years using her bond, learning how to attach her bond, and eventually becoming an employee of this awesome new venture my family was pursuing.
Recently, I've become a resident of St. Paul, living near the popular Grand Ave, and Summit Ave area. It's beautiful here, even in the winter, though I am incredibly excited to see what St. Paul has to offer in the warm, summer months.
When I'm not in the studio, I'm raising my hilarious and adorable toddler son, reading, writing, and creating (I will let everyone in on exactly what, in a future blog!) and of course, spending time with friends and family. I take a beginners ballet class at a premier repertory dance company in Minneapolis, and recently joined the White Bear Lake Toastmaster's speech and improv groups! :) I have a love for performance.
In addition to St. Paul I'm also looking forward to the summer months in downtown White Bear Lake, of course! Hitting the beaches only blocks away, after a day at the studio sounds fabulous, and now that we are up and running, I couldn't be more thrilled that we are offering this amazing product to clients on a larger scale!
